Downline Building Secrets: How to Duplicate in MLM

You've probably heard about this topic in seminars, trainings, and events held by your company. But the question remains, how do you experience true duplication in network marketing? That's a question left unanswered by thousands of uplines out there. While many of us can generate leads, make sales and sponsor many people to our team, fewer uplines have the ability to teach their business partners/downline members how to do the same. This is where most distributors face one of the biggest problems in MLM -- the "dead downline blues'. It simply means that the growth and duplication in the team stops. It becomes a one-man job (the upline leader's job) and residual income is not achieved.

Simplicity is the key to duplication in network marketing. Your system must be simple and can be easily copied by your team members. Well, in the next few words, I'm going to outline two downline building methods that you can use to grow your team. When you employ either of these two methods, you'll laugh at how easy it is to experience MLM duplication.

1. The Two-By-Two 'Pay It Forward' System. This works for any MLM and demonstrates the essence of true network marketing. All you have to do is to commit yourself to sponsoring two (2) people in your frontline. Stop thinking about hundreds of direct referrals. Just set a goal for yourself to sponsor two people. Then after you achieve that goal, focus your efforts on helping them do the same. Encourage and help those two people to do what you did -- bring two others! Once they achieve their goal of bringing two people each, teach them to teach their downlines to do the same.

This system works because MOST PEOPLE think that sponsoring two people in their frontline is achievable. As a result, they get excited about the program. They believe that they can easily take part in the downline building process.

2. The 'Retail To Recruit' System. In this duplication system, you simply create a direct response ad that sells a particular product (either your company product, or an info product you created for your team as well). The ad could be an offline ad (flyers, postcards), or an online ad (sales letter, PDF). This ad must be customizable and can be used by anyone in your team, and its purpose is to retail products and get direct product orders. It must be distributed to a specific market who needs and wants the product being offered.

Now, when you or members of the team get retail orders, it also becomes a great opportunity to build rapport with your prospects and get to know more about them. You then teach your team to follow up with the existing customers and offer them the MLM opportunity.

This duplication system works because team members earn short term cashflow (from product orders) regardless if someone joins the MLM program or not. Thus, daily cash needs and advertising costs are met. The 'retail to recruit' marketing model looks pretty much like the 'funded proposal' approach, but it can be applied to any product or service, not just with info products.
